Jennifer Lopez just tore up a $100 bill for a manicure. Yes, really.
Jennifer Lopez’s nail artist Tom Bachik revealed on Instagram that he used a real $100 bill to create the manicure she wore to the Billboard Music Awards
Now THIS is what we call attention to detail! Jennifer Lopez made her return to the music world this weekend after taking time out to concentrate on her television career – and to celebrate, she treated herself to what might possible have been the world’s most extra manicure. The 48-year-old was performing her new single, Dinero, and went all-out with the money theme, with glitter and fake bank notes raining down on the audience during her set. And she even incorporated into her beauty look, as her manicurist has revealed that he used a torn-up $100 bill to decorate her nails.
J.Lo looked incredible in this merlot leather outfit
Nail artist Tom Bachik, who attends to J.Lo’s digits, posted a close-up snap on Instagram of the incredible set of false nails he created for her to wear that evening. In the picture, words and emblems from a $100 bill are clearly visible, alongside gold foil and studs. He captioned it “All about the #Dinero for our girl @jlo” and added “the #real deal #hundo $100 #notadecal”.
Fans could catch a glimpse of the extravagant manicure when J.Lo appeared on the red carpet, wearing an incredible merlot-coloured crocodile-print dress featuring a plunging neckline, thigh-high split and matching bra. She wore her bobbed hair loose and textured and accessorised with a gold box clutch, drop earrings and plenty of rings to compliment her nail art.
Later when performing her new single she donned a white three-piece suit complete with tie, hat and black gloves – meaning her nails were covered, and for her enjoyment only.
The 48-year-old icon, who is famed for her flawless skin and year-round golden glow, recently launched a 70-piece makeup collection with Inglot. The beauty brand announced the collaboration on its Instagram, in a post captioned” “We are excited to announce the Jennifer Lopez Inglot collaboration launching April 26th.” Key pieces based on J.Lo’s trademark look include bronzers, highlights and a seriously amazing-looking illuminating powder.
